Maintaining still those traditional features, Corfu town attracts a lot of tourists every year. The Old Town lies on the northern side between the Esplanade Square and the new fortress. One of the most famous sights within Corfu town is the Liston Square, which is the most visited part of the town. Other must-see locations are the Old and the New Venetian Fortresses, the Town Hall Square, the Square of the Saints, the Ionian Academy and the Palace of Saint Michael and Saint George.
You can get to Corfu by air or by sea, since many airline companies operate on Corfu and there are also regular ferry routes from Igoumenitsa port to Cofu town.
